Pregnancy for Dummies online / stream

From prenatal testing through colic, this comprehensive video guide ushers viewers through the same territory as its namesake book. Divided into four parts (one for each trimester and a section on baby's first three months), this three-hour, two-disc set animates Wendy, the anxious cartoon mom-to-be, and uses real patients of the book's physician authors to illustrate the various aspects of pregnancy and birth.

While separating serious concerns with "Call the doctor" icons, it also includes playful bits like a list of old wives' tales and a game-show format in which Wendy is quizzed on when labor has really begun. From the mundane of shopping for baby things to the profound concerns of birth defects, gestational diabetes, and postpartum depression, almost all aspects of the process are touched upon. The last section takes parents and baby from the Apgar score through a step-by-step guide to changing diapers.
